File Commands

New
Open...
Save

New

Closes the current geometric file and deletes all geometrics currently stored in memory.  ALL CURRENT WORK IS LOST IF IT HAS NOT BEEN SAVED TO A FILE.


Open...

Displays the "Open File" file dialog from which you may select a previously saved geometric file.  The geometrics in the selected file are then loaded into memory.  ALL CURRENT WORK IS LOST IF IT HAS NOT BEEN SAVED TO A FILE.


Save

Saves all geometrics in memory to the currently open geometrics file.  If a geometrics file is not currently open then the "Save As" file dialog is displayed.  The shortcut key for this menu command is "Ctrl+S".


Save As...

Displays the "Save As" file dialog from which you may specify a new or existing file in which to save the geometrics currently stored in memory.  If an existing file is specified then you will be prompted to verify that its contents should be replaced with the current geometrics.

Plot...

Opens a new window and draws the geometric definitions saved in memory.  The 2-dimensional geometrics that are drawn include points, lines, circles, ellipses, hyperbolas and patterns.  Click here to learn more.


Exit

Immediately exits Shop Solver.  ALL CURRENT WORK IS LOST IF IT HAS NOT BEEN SAVED TO A FILE.
